Ferrous Oxalate Dihydrate

Ferrous oxalate (Iron(II) oxalate), also known as ferrous ethanedioate, is an organic compound with the chemical formula FeC₂O₄ and a molecular weight of 143.86. It is stable under normal temperature and pressure, presenting as a pale yellow crystalline powder with a slight pungency. Ferrous oxalate decomposes into ferrous oxide, carbon monoxide, and carbon dioxide when heated. It is used as a photographic developer and in the pharmaceutical industry.
